true, it's not the most interesting species of I,A, but it's quite a legit gripe -- i'm way more worried about getting plowed into by a bicycle than i am a car when i'm riding through a 4-way stop.....
these numbnutted/ovummed stop sign ignorers assume that all of the cars will stop, thereby freeing them to ride through the intersection without slowing down a bit.....but what about the peds and other stop sign vetoers??.....or what if someone like I,A is crossing from a dead stop?? -- all involved are going to taste some unnecessary pain.....
how about a little foresight, folks?? -- just because it hasn't happened to you yet doesn't mean it isn't going to.
and while we're at it: LIGHTS, goddamnit.....
(and quit riding on east burnside! -- ankeny is much safer and considerate, and runs parallel just one block south.....)
(the city will send you free bike maps if you apply on their site.)
this is an old story but a constant issue. But IMO distance/speed riders in lycra are often a lot more savvy and can actually handle their bikes, unlike >50% of (us) commuters. I ride both to work but not 5 days a week, and on weekends, and you are fucking right-on otherwise.
