Now i'm in complete defense of this bearded trope. But that said, really does have to be pointed out that - there was a WHITE dude out in public brandishing an assault rifle, however harmless the situation was (photo shoot/fund raiser). But it has to be said, that WHITE guy w/ assault rifle out in public usually means bad fucking news (and we've had several very high-profile examples of this just in recent history). Cops/SWAT/JTTF/ATF/DHS etc. show up, yet, noone is arrested and EVERYONE goes home safe and not dead.

BLACK guy, unarmed, not at all a threat, puts his hands up, TRIES to surrender, attempts to pull identification out of pocket=shot 50 times. Or shot in the back, and left to bleed to death while medical help is kept at bay (an egregious human rights violation, btw).

I'm surprised more folks have not noticed this... then again, it IS Portland.
