I think review sites are kinda useless because it seems like the only people who ever review anything are those who either totally love or completely hate whatever's under discussion. This leads to the initial impression being skewed, plus there are indeed assholes who are paid to say wildly positive or wildly negative things on the internet so...why fucking bother?
That said, you bitching about it on the internet does you no favors. Ya' gotta move on.
"...it's in a business where people generally think we're scam artists" and someone thought you were scamming them. If only you could've foreseen this in your business plan! Perhaps calling your reviewer a fucking asshole will make him or her feel more empathy for you.
If you are making enough money to cover your bar tab by scamming - oh sorry - "advising" people with your gift-like abilities you are doing just fine. Don't be greedy. There are only so many people in this town to take advantage of in this unique way, I suggest you be happy that ANYONE is interested in what you are offering.
Fortune telling is something I thought about doing the last time I was unemployed, along with pimping and becoming a cult leader. Or starting a pyramid scheme. Or selling reverse mortgages. Or drugs.
I want to find out who anonymous is, just so I can give them more bad reviews. Because they are a bad person and deserve to be punished. I hope they suffer.
Although their customers are also idiots who, in some sense, deserve it too...
I'll give you another bad review right now: If you claim to be able to predict the future with certainty, you are a fraud. That is true whether you are a psychic, a palm reader, or stock analyst. And make no mistake, there is no way to be an accidental fraud, your fraudulence is knowing and deliberate. Your advice does not come from a "gift," it comes from a desire to separate fools from their money.
@stjohnsrules: They're magical places where you put your mouth and some friendly person does what the GOP plans to do to all of us beginning in January.
I see what you mean, Disastronaut. And then there's the matter of recognizing the profile image of the bad reviewer...could it be that this I,A was submitted in order to get us all to read that bad review? So reverse psychology used to expose a psychic! I love the smell of intrigue in the morning.
