Relax. They will probably get a ticket.

At least they weren't using their fog lights.
3
at least they aren't driving around with toothpicks in their mouths.

It must be exhausting to care so much about things so trivial. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to be you.

I just recall an instance after checking in on the fog light thread, but it's closed for comments now. A buddy of mine back in high school used to get pissed at drivers who whould tail gate him with their brights on. He went out and bought a super bright, halogen back up light, and wired it to a seperate switch so that when assholes would blind him in his rear view mirror, he would flip the switch and drown them in light like with a James Bond oil slick.

It's hardly "trivial" when you almost pull out of a drive or side street in front of or change lanes in front of someone speeding along in their "Stealthmobile" (no headlights, in the fog or rain or just the dim light of early morning or late afternoon, often in a fucking GRAY vehicle!)

Do they not realize that they are virtually invisible to other drivers and as such are placing themselves and everyone else at risk of a collision?

It's THE LAW to turn on your headlights when conditions impair visibility (typically 30 min. before sunset/dawn, in rain or fog, etc..)

And simply turning on your headlights everytime you drive, day OR night, regardless of weather conditions, has been shown to significantly reduce your risk of being involved in an accident. It's a good habit to get into.

I actually once heard some dumb-ass say, "I don't need my headlights on; I can see just fine." As if the concept that the primary function of headlights is to allow OTHERS to see YOU had never occurred to them.

And yeah, I reserve equal scorn for dumb-asses/assholes who fail to DIM THEIR HIGHBEAMS when approaching another vehicle at night on the highway (from close behind OR from the opposite direction). I mean, where did these people learn to drive, for Christsake?

Please wait...
