VS sucks and their products come from child labor and sweatshops. I suggest trying Lille, which has two locations (the E Burnside one has the larger selection). Their prices are higher than at VS but worth it for the difference in quality and customer service alone.
This is Portland, so someone's gotta crow about how they "never felt home in a department store bra" after a fancypants boutique shop clerk clued them in on how to instantly get snobby about underwear. Yes, if it's not handmade by a wealthy art-school flunkie's unpaid interns, it's not worth wearing! I mean, that's how they made all those "classic" granny panty designs back in the day. Except that the interns were poor immigrant girls and they were chained to their desks making Triangle-brand shirtwaists. And of course that's the dream of any clothing designer; sell your brand and become the next Michael Kors-- a human Cheeto Puff with ultrawhite teeth. So whatever, your fancypants will be sold at Costco sooner or later, if they're worth a damn. Welcome to Murica, land of oprr'tunity!
Cunty, no one said any of the things you're saying they did. Seems like you're the one who's snobby and uptight if the mere mention of a locally owned store being better than fucking Victoria's Secret sends you into an incoherent tirade.
Also, yet another reminder: not everything that people say in Portland is because it's Portland. Many people value well-made things just about everywhere.
Oh, I just remembered that you're the same person who flipped out in another recent I,A when the topic of supporting local businesses came up, saying "Oh god, here comes the 'If it ain't mom n' pop it's EVIL WALMART' nonsense. Get real."
Yeah, no one had said anything like that, either, but have fun playing with your straw men.
Why does it bother you so much that anyone likes to patronize a small business?
Speaking of advertising, is anyone else getting a Milagros kiddie store ad to pop up to the right for them? I feel dirty now. Thanks internet.
What gives?
