So your first choice was to go shopping for some crap. But that wasn't available, so you saw a movie. Then you told me about it for some reason. Whoop-de-fuckin-doo.
How come the movie theaters weren't closed? Are they FLICK'n racist, or what? Where does that crackeass get off dropping the N word like yelling fire in a public place? Where's Spike Lee, now, when we need him most?
On February 18, 2010, it was announced that Tarantino had bought the New Beverly Cinema. Tarantino allowed the current owners to continue operating the theater, but he will be making programming suggestions from time to time. He was quoted as saying: "As long as I'm alive, and as long as I'm rich, the New Beverly will be there, showing films shot on 35mm.
The New Beverly Cinema is one of Los Angeles' longest running revival theaters. Since 1978, the New Beverly has screened the finest in classic, independent, cult and foreign films. Every paired program is a double feature and all feature films are presented in 35mm.
Because we have so many screenings of DJANGO UNCHAINED, purchasing tickets in advance is not necessary, as plenty of tickets will be available at the door for any given show. The box office opens 30 minutes before each show time.
DJANGO UNCHAINED is accompanied by a Merrie Melodies cartoon and a special pack of vintage trailers personally selected by Quentin Tarantino!
