I don't judge and therefore neither recognize the less fortuitous nor more fortuitous in any regard. Just don't block the fucking sidewalk, or pepper mace me directly in the eyes, and we're cool.
Fortuitous means happening by accident or chance, rather than design. If someone is less fortuitous than me, then they are more likely to be a product of careful planning than I am. You probably mean fortunate. This editorial advice is my little holiday season, Goodwill-quality gift to you. And I too am a fan of that sweet St. Francis song.
Judging others when they are not like our politics, religions and life style is easy to do.
St. Francis left his wealthy family to serve the poor. His friend St.Clare, also from a wealthy family left it all behind to follow St.Francis . She and her Poor Clare Nuns had no shoes, wore brown rough robes, had little to eat, lived in a poor house and kept silent most of the time.
My point is why do so many people think homeless are to blame for their situation when they can only assume they like to beg? Many are just like you and me, they just do not have a roof over their head. I talk to animals all the time.
Sure. But all that aside: why the hell are people so likely to say they "don't judge?" Like hell you don't. Everybody does, but they inevitably claim it's something other people do. It's a particularly annoying bit of hypocrisy.
