I feel bad when I see small business owners, especially food carts, get shat on for the most trite of complaints.. "omg it was hot outside, why don't these food carts build an igloo with a big flatscreen inside so customers are comfortable?!! ONE STAR!"

stop the presses, someone doesn't like Yelp

I'm too busy invalidating the point of Blogtown to bother with Yelp.

The problem with Yelp is that any anonymous asshole with a computer can spout off any bullshit they like.

Oh wait...

Two acquaintances I know have restaurants. Both serve similar food and it is better than good. One treats her employees well, makes great customer service a high priority and gives back to the community. The other owner is an asshole, continutally berates his employees in public and is a greedy asshole who never does anything for anyone else. #1 gets great Yelp review from me and #2 gets horrible reviews. Damn I love Yelp as it is the gift that keeps on giving back to assholes!!

As a restaurant owner, I give Yelp the time and credibility it deserves: absolutely none. I haven't even looked at my page once in over 3 years. If customers don't want to communicate problems at the time of service when I can actually do something about it, I don't give a rat's ass. "Feedback" from Cowards who bash businesses anonymously is worthless. And so is Yelp. My sales continue to grow beyond goal so why should I care?

Please wait...
