What's the problem? You were covered for charges. No one died. Accidents happen. Don't blame a young kid. And no one deserves to be killed.

Even though I love my dog like a person, dogs aren't people. I bet your dog is emotionally over it and has forgotten about it, you should try too.

There's definitely a smug dog owner with a sense of "self-righteous entitlement", and it's not the one that volunteered to pay for the vet bill.

Some dogs aren't well-socialized towards other dogs, but are fine with humans. It happens pretty easily with even normal family dogs that don't have much contact with non-humans. Be grateful it's not worse and chill the fuck out.

I'Anon, I hope you did not mean the dog should be killed. I feel bad for your dog, and hope he is doing fine. You are very upset, and I would be too.

The PERPETRATOR should, in the future, NOT be walked by a child but a responsible adult. The vet bill got paid, but let her know your feelings. If the dog bit a child , said dog would be quarantined for three days. Depending on the breed, it sounds like this was and accident that should not have happened. Hope fluffy or Spot doesn't have any lasting trauma. Good Luck-

If a dog took a chunk out of a little furry friend of mine, I'd jump it and gnaw on the monster. A chunk for a chunk!!

dogs have a protocol that is hard wired and when it is not followed there will be blood. If you are a dog it goes like this: i sniff your ass while you sniff my ass. If either dog does not follow the process the social compact is broken and all hell breaks loose. Some dogs never learn this and then every encounter with a stranger dog becomes a showdown.

Sorry about your doggie :(

You should have reported the dog. I don't want an irresponsible owner/dangerous dog out there doing that again with no record of it having done it before. That was irresponsible as hell not to report it.

Please wait...
