This went on too long. Carrots screaming then blah blah blah. 14 on the 70 scale. Happy Friday people.
2
Yeah just not feeling this one.

Drive your cattle 40 minutes in any direction and you'll be amongst your people, Anon.

And what you ignore is how animals are treated in in the modern economy. I eat meat and wear leather myself, and I don't like the self righteousness of the hard core, because it does damage to the cause of addressing the real problems, but there are legitimate complaints about how some animals are treated. The thing is, people only care about animals that resemble humans. Maybe you should just get over , knowing that there is no way the government in America is going to pass those sort of laws. Stop being a whiny bitch and buck up.

Save the scorpions in China.

It's been an aimless path for these people ever since they drove Schumachers out of business.

I'Anon, I am a vegetarian and know you think we are all mean and judgmental to people not like us. My husband and I don't act like that, and it would be a lonely world if we were not friends with meat eaters.

Yeah, there are some people that make it a finger pointing mission. It's like dieters always say don't eat do-nuts. We just ignore them. Just ignore them.

Schumachers was a nice store. Yeah, why don't these protestors go picket abortion clinics?

Generals chode just got a tad wider, look out below...,

I'm a veg and don't broadcast it unless I'm asked. I usually say "I don't eat anything that walks, crawls or flies and it's not a religion with me". In truth, I certainly care how crop animals are cared for and meet their end. I'm a hypocrite for not Evangelizing about it, if it really bothers me. I can't see insulting somebody's meal, if I won't carry a sign.

Just FTR, in 2010 the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) published a report titled “Assessing the Environmental Impacts of Consumption and Production”, in which it concluded that, all things considered, the most vital thing humanity could do to save itself was shift to a vegetarian, preferably vegan, diet.

Quote:
“Impacts from agriculture are expected to increase substantially due to population growth increasing consumption of animal products. Unlike fossil fuels, it is difficult to look for alternatives: people have to eat. A substantial reduction of impacts would only be possible with a substantial worldwide diet change, away from animal products."

Been a veggie myself for 20 yrs, but I can't stand self-righteous, in-your-face crusaders (no-one can). But I have to say, I have faced plenty of judgement for NOT eating meat/other animal products over the years from those who (I can only assume) feel that my personal dietary preferences are some sort of passive-aggressive attack on THEIRS. Go figure.

You're a big girl or boy; you can make your own decisions about what to eat (and wear). And others can express their judgement if they feel the need to feel superior. Yeah, ignore them.

I'm not too sure all this accosting you for wearing a leather jacket is believable, but I'll bite...

Nature is fucking cruel. The animals consume each other, we consume them, being at the top of the food chain.
It's ugly - perhaps, but that is life in this existance.
The stars consume each other and die too.
It is sad....
But as a part of nature as well, I would not feel bad about wearing a leather jacket. Most peoples shoes are made of cow hide too.

There's no way these interactions actually happened.

Please wait...
