Ah yes, the whimsical joys of apartment dwelling, duplexes, roommates, and HOA associations. I feel so left out that I no longer experience such facets of communal human interaction.
I think the own a home, the American Dream, is not for everyone. Tried it and love apartment living. If you keep to yourself, and don't get in to chat ups, pay your rent on time, and have a nice safe place. Owning a home, you get the neighbor from hell and tons of work.
If honored undocumented guest workers from South of the border can be operating leaf blowers outside that apartment at the crack of dawn, when the law states not until 10am, and that los el Mexicanos are not supposed to be here at all, let alone working, it would be selective enforcement to crack down on these freaks.
Sorry there bud, you lose: "No person shall cause or permit sound to intrude into the property of another person which exceeds the limits set forth below in this Section. For purposes of this Section, “day hours” shall be between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., and “night hours” shall be between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m." - El City Code
I thought my wise-assed husband was the I/A on this for describing our hours-of-operation but there's only a couple night living, morning sleepers like us here. The rest are pretty much nine to fivers and not complainers.
And not like this needs to be pointed out, but going down the stairs to go to work is not anywhere near on the level of blasting music or television. One lasts 15 seconds and one lasts
I am so proud of you sticking up for the super-majority of night dwellers in your building.
Of course you don't have to obey the law or be respectful of others. Golden rule my ass!
I bet you live in that shitty apartment building behind The Slammer. Yeah, "night workers" indeed.
Respect your neighbors, and they will respect you. They might even cut out the passive-aggressive stomping.

Go by the Plastic Rule - it's recyclable.
POINK!
