This Anonymous is the poster child for why I just go to Mary's Club.
2
Yes, the problem with strippers is that they don't let men exploit them hard enough.
3
Yes, it's so very difficult to press play on the CD deck and fade up RATT's "Round and Round" for the fourth time tonight. You deserve a medal.
4
When I think of qualities I look for in a strip club, the first two things that come to mind are "good drinks" and "GREAT music".
5
I mean, like $5 for a PBR? What a deal!

"Sure customers come in to see naked girls. But any naked girls will do. We are the reason regulars keep coming back."

Wow, that's really hilarious. Actually, you are NOT the reason regulars keep coming back. Stick on Spotify/Pandora and watch how nobody gives a flying fuck while West Linn/Troutdale natives in tablecloth-patterned shirts gawk at spread labias and do shots and flash their thousand-yard stares all up in this bitch.

Dear Anonymous,

As a stripper, good tipper and perhaps more self-actualized individual than yourself, please consider the fact that the girls don't like working with you because you believe yourself to be more important than the entire basis of which the industry is built. And that's why you don't get tipped well.

Sure, Any good iPod or Pandora list could do, but nearly every shift I'm complimented on my BRMC, Yardbirds, Jimi or Junior Kimbrough, none of which YOU selected.

I've DJd before, and guess what? It's not very difficult to A; state names of dancers, B; state name of song C; play song.

A great DJ can play to the personality of the dancer and to the mood of the crowd, and you know, It might be rap. Maybe it's Kid Cudi, or perhaps Aesop Rock will do. But your seemingly biased ass can Google search those.

What is difficult? To have to dance without giving myself bursitis, to wrangle bouncers to my stage when dealing with outrageously poor patron behavior. It's challenging to keep calm and polite even as much of society hypocritically chooses to obsess and disdain over strippers. My body is strong, my stage moves are pre cursors to Cirque du Soleil. My toes are cracking as I type. How's all that sitting on your bouncer chair going?

Oddly enough, I've heard from food vendors, bartenders and even the dudes who delivered my mattress that, "tippers tend to tip the best". Hmm. Maybe it IS just you.

I'm a muse, I'm an athlete, I'm an unlicensed therapist. You're a whiner, and perhaps should throw in your mic.
8
You must be a horrible DJ or you work in some ghetto-ass club. You should be clearing $300+ in tips a night on the three whole nights a week you actually work.
9
I don't remember a single song I've ever heard at a strip club. I remember every titty. Anon is a douche.
10
Sounds like someone's bitter..that is rediculous. Most of my regulars avoid when there's a dj, and come in when I'M the dj. And they love when I play ANYTHING I feel sexy dancing to, including rap. The problem is self entitled strip club dj douche bags that think they know what's best for me and my ass to shake to! NOPE.
11
I'm a dancer and I've worked with some great DJs and some awful ones.
Know what the good DJs do? Enunciate the girl's names, remember our musical tastes, remind customers constantly that we work for tips, keep the energy of the room up, encourage people to sit at the stage, remind customers of the rules and call out those that are breaking them, defend us from guys that are creepy or aggressive, keep track of what's happening on stage, clear empty glasses when there's time, and do their absolute best to help us make money.
Know what the shitty DJs do? The bare minimum. They make it all about them and think they're the star of the show, forget what songs we want or when to cut our music, talk too fast or garbled for anyone to understand them over the mic, and sit on their asses in the booth doing nothing during songs when they could be walking the floor, checking to see where else they can help.
Sounds like this anonymous is in the latter category but expects to be tipped like he's in the former.
12
Yeah, I always go strip clubs to see a coked out sleaze bag play shitty music that the girls didn't pick while simultaneously smarming all over them.

Those girls work hard, and most of them are fucking acrobats. They're the draw. You're just a super douche with a falsely inflated ego.

"The Sad Lament of the Strip Club DJ"

This should be a rap song, a self-published ebook, and/or a Charlie Kaufman screenplay.

Ok, I have to chime in here. The staff is not why I come back, not the DJ, not the hottest dancers in town, or the most, not even the music, food, or drink menu.
Is the place comfortable, it doesn't have to be "Cheers", but it could take a lesson from them.
1st is if I feel welcome that starts at the door yes, a rude doorman can ruin a club. But their job is to keep everyone safe, which equals comfort, and that front line guard deserves decent tips (they risk their lives),
2nd is the girls do they remember your name, chat, smile, (bathe regularly), and treat you like a person not a mark, or walking wallet,
3rd your cashier/bartender are they friendly, attentive, and most importantly honest. If I brake a bill and not a dollar is short, I will even tip them. I don't want to be concerned about having to count my money in a madhouse,
4th is the place clean, this includes both bathrooms, (guys will go home with pockets full of cash), if they have to use a nasty bathroom, and
5th are the girls treated well by management, given a adequate split, no bs fines, does the d.j. and bouncer make sure the guys at the rail tip or give up those seats, is drama kept to a minimum between the girls, provide lockers that are lockable, space in the dressing room, deal with customers that cross the line without turning a blind eye for some and not others, make sure the girls are escorted to their car or ride, keep drug dealers and pimps from becoming an issue in the club, I am not comfortable in a turf dispute, or if I sense tension between management, staff, or talent.
Which is the 6th item, talent is not just looks, skills in dancing/pole work, social skills, pride in their work, uniform, and choice of profession, if they hate the fact that they are dancing for a living, then do everyone a favor and don't let the work in your club. Just my 2 cents worth.

Mom says I have to mow the lawn now........
16
Know who In the industry I feel bad for? None of you.
17
I don't tip my coworkers either, and I sure as hell wouldn't if I had to rent my desk from the management every day I showed up to work.

Please wait...
