Should have done better research beforehand. Also, you also misspelled "peace". More believable if spelled "piece" in your case.....
2
You could just buy a Bubble Boy bubble and some noise canceling headphones and create your own little universe. Be free!
3
Leave. Please. Move away from North Portland, go back to whatever hellhole you previously sullied and be miserable over there for a while. Preferably forever.
4
This would never happen to you in Arizona.

Turbo mufflers are quite effective at completely eliminating exhaust noise, while enabling maximum high performance. The sound is half the fun of racing. PIR used to be in no man's land, ever since Vanport got flooded and Portland State University invaded downtown and started spreading like a malignant tumor. It's just typical how encroaching suburbanites invariably complain about what was there before they moved in.
6
Gee you moved somewhere without investigating the area and knowing what possible sounds/sights/smells might offend you... Poor baby.
7
Maybe a little research on where your moving prior to signing would assist on your move out of here.

You act as though it just appeared overnight with no notice. Go cry in private your pathetic.

Reminds me of the people who moved into the pearl and immediately started whining about how loud the postal trucks were. When you move right next to a racetrack you are probably going to hear that racetrack, kind of like if you move right next to an airport you may hear airplanes. I suggest you move again, preferably out of state.

Nobody told your wife that you'd snore like a buzzsaw, either.

I bought a place next to a sewage treatment plant. WHY DIDN'T MY REALTOR TELL ME POOP WAS STINKY?!

PIR isn't "city funded," for starters. Just because something has the word "Portland" in it doesn't mean it's paid for by you n' me.
But when I was checking out a rental in Kenton, I immediately noted the smell of the nearby sewage treatment plant, the sound of PIR, the many red flags that part of town near Peninsular raises...and didn't take that rental.

I actually feel a little bit bad for the dude. I mean they were pretty stupid for not doing their research, but that sounds like my idea of hell on earth.

Was in Delta Park a lot of the day Sunday. The noise coming from PIR was an absolute assault on my hearing. Honestly, it's not like you have to live a few blocks from that to be affected. You could probably be a mile away and still want to stick ice picks in your ears.

Racing was done by 5:15PM Sunday evening.

PIR is a city park - so get that part right everybody. Second, you moved to the area without checking your surroundings = YOUR FAULT. If you don't like it, you are free to move - otherwise you can deal with the noise.
It makes money for the city, provides a fill for people's passion and is an amazingly addictive thing when you get into it. It is a bummer you don't like it, but no ones fault but yours.

I was out there on Sunday, and there was a LOT more annoying noise coming from the "concert" event at the EXPO center NOT Portland International Raceway.

PIR has been having racing events there since the 1960's.

I wish I could bold that, racing at PIR has been going on SINCE THE 1960's!!

The area has multiple railroad tracks and is in flight paths for PDX.

It seems pretty silly to go hating on PIR and creating a bunch of noise about something that has been taking place in that location for the last 50 years.
