This morning brought the announcement of 2016's Project Pabst, which recently merged with the Willamette Week-sponsored MusicfestNW. The booze-fueled merger signifies a further reduction of Portland all-ages festivals, since MFNW will no longer exist as a separate entity. Tickets go on sale this Friday. Here are some highlights from the lineup:

• Duran Duran (best known for soundtracking a Frankie Muniz masterpiece)

• Ice Cube (veritable legend)

• Tame Impala (Australia and LSD's response to Led Zepagain)

• Sheer Mag (best band on this list)

The festival takes place on August 27 and 28 at Waterfront Park, with additional to-be-announced evening shows taking place at different venues around the city.
