Sticks & Stones' flagship store will host Messengers, a multimedia showcase featuring original art pieces and sculptures by Zack Blei. The centerpiece of the show is a sculpture inspired by the 1962 film The Trials of Joan of Arc, which was constructed by using a live model and will be covered in leather armor and chain mail made by Michelle Lesniak. There will also be live performances by Bergerette, (featuring Viva Las Vegas, Eve Connell, and Pat Janowski), DJs, and complimentary beverages provided by Pabst Blue Ribbon, BridgePort Brewing Company, Red Bull, and Dr. Kombucha.

Just in case you feel like trekking all the way to Hillsboro, the Gem Faire is back. Jewelry and gem dealers from all over the world will be on site with a large selection of jewelry, gems, beads, minerals, crystals, pearls, supplies and tools, and more.

A couple of retail announcements:
Folly just did a MAJOR remodel of their store. Their factory is now in the rear of the shop instead of off-site, and as was the case before nearly half of the shop’s clothing is from the Sarah Bibb for Folly collection. They are toying with having a party to celebrate (which I will of course announce here), but why wait? Go now and check out their new digs, and also check out this super cute video of their transition process.

Nicole Whitesell of Adorn and Erinn Warner have opened Gild, a new shoe shop that is right next door to, and is in fact an extension of, Adorn's SE Division location. Shop brands like Dolce Vita, Superga, and Matt Bernson as well as accessories from Trask, Maya Moon, and Seaworthy. A grand opening party is slated for May 12th but again, why wait to go in there and shop?
