In an unmitigated wave of terror, the networks have announced a slew of cancellations for the fall season—some of which will definitely make you weep with grief. For example:

As some of us sadly anticipated, the Marvel show Agent Carter (starring the completely delightful Hayley Atwell) has been given the ax, according to the Hollywood Reporter. (Additionally ABC is passing on the planned Agents of SHIELD spinoff, Marvel's Most Wanted, starring Agents Bobbi Morse and Hunter.)

After four seasons, the hillbilly soap Nashville—which actually produced some halfway decent country music—will be cancelled according to Variety.

Well that was quick: ABC's The Muppets has also been shit-canned after a rocky season that never really found its audience.
