Coming to Cannon Beach Saturday, September 23: The first annual Stackstock, a one-day music festival that'll bring together the coast's rugged beauty and some of Oregon's best music. If you're looking for weekend roadtrip ideas, this seems pretty tough to beat.
The lineup includes Colin Meloy of the Decemberists, Pure Bathing Culture, Edna Vasquez Trio, Ages and Ages, Cardioid, Wonderly, and the OK Chorale PDX. Festival attendees can come and go throughout the day, which will be convenient if you're overcome by the urge to dip your toes in the ocean (and then run screaming down the beach because the water's so damn cold).
