That was not what was unique to the Language school at all. They were a group of theoretical, abstract poets who were fiercely against capitalism's commodification of language. They, in fact, wanted to destroy the idea of an accepted 'plain language' of any sort by exploring a voiceless, non-contextual, non-referential poetics that rejected a passive narrative coherency.
