Is CBD Legal?

Generally, Cannabis Sativa is high in THC and low in CBD, while Cannabis Indica is relatively low in THC and high in CBD. Hashish is traditionally made with Cannabis Indica. Make no mistake. Hash will knock you on your fucking ass. This newly instigated urban myth that CBD don't get you high is bullshit. Furthermore, THC works great for pain control. There are at least 85 different Cannabinoids isolated from cannabis, exhibiting varied effects, and each individual strain of Cannabis and hybrids contains a unique combination of Cannabinoids, but all Cannabinoids are fat soluble. If you take synthetic THC as a pill, it won't do shit. Brownies are baked with butter. That works great. In all fairness, perhaps the tests of CBD not getting people high, were conducted with an oral dose witout the necessary fat solution?

The thing about smoking Hash, is that it's a different trip from Weed. You really need to be careful not to smoke too much, because you think you aren't getting off. It creeps up on you, and you'll find yourself in a totally 'nother dimension, including hallucinations, although it tends to be a heavier body stone and a dreamier head trip. It's powerful stuff.

CBD having little to no psychoactive effect is biochemistry, not urban myth. THC, simply put, has a psychoactive effect because it bonds to cannabinoid receptors in the brain. CBD does not bond with cannabinoid receptors much at all. In fact, CBD suppresses the enzyme fatty acid amide hydroxylase (FAAH), which breaks down anandamide, which can actually reduce the psychoactive effects of THC.

The current science IMO does not support the current trend of high CBD low THC strains as the most effective means to get CBD therapy. Rather, a high CBD amount with an equal ratio of THC appears to be showing great results while still not producing much of a psychoactive effect.

This is why scientific research needs to be allowed to learn as much as possible about this wondrous plant and the interactions it has with the human endocannabinoid system.

Fifty-fifty TCH/CBD will completely kick your ass. These studies most likely have the subject swallow pills of synthetic THC and CBD which is a total burn; it don't do shit. You have to smoke it to get high, and probably to receive and medicinal benefit, unless you ingest organic Cannabis products taken with fat, such as butter or olive oil. Cannabinoids are fat soluble and even Cannabis tea is a waste of good Weed without added fat.

You can talk about brain receptors, and even call them Cannabinoid Receptors, but medical science must not be aware of all the receptors that are affected or how.

CBD tends to offset some of the particular psychoactive effects of THC, however CBD has some different psychoactive effects unique to itself. Why have millions of people from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Persia, Morocco and Egypt for thousands of years, right up to the present time continually smoked Hashish, if not for the psychoactive effects? Admittedly, the shit tastes and smells wonderful, but in my own, first hand, personal experience, I can tell you for a fact, that Hash will get you good and fucking stoned.

I'll say this again. Hash is a different trip and if you aren't familiar with it, you might not think you've gotten off. Hell, the fist time I smoked Weed, I didn't think I was stoned, so my sponsor had me smoke damn near an entire ounce. When I finally recognized the trip, it was too late, I was totaled. After that, it was easy to get stoned on just a few hits.

Andrew Weil, MD, has written that Cannabis is neither an agonist nor an antagonist, but rather modulates the effect on brain receptors in some way that is not understood. He also says that the big problem that medical science has in using pure molecules is that reductionism ignores the complexity of compounds found in herbs and the interaction of them.

Okay, wait a minute.

Now that I look more closely at test results, Indica flowers and Hashish from Indicas while higher in CBDs than most Sativas, still has way more THC than CBD. That suggests to me that CBD is even more powerful than THC, but as more of a sedative.

A fifty-fifty ratio of THC to CBD might well be a lot less fun, recreationally.

Some of the medical strains are low in THC and equally low in CBD. Hashish is much higher in CBD than medical strains of Cannabis, but Hashish tends to be about four or five times higher in THC than CBD, yet that's plenty enough CBD to be sedative, while still maintaining a psychedelic head trip.

Never mind.

What I still don't get, is why a 50/50 - THC/CBD strain, has no noticeable psychoactive effect, while Hashish with about 45% THC and 15% CBD will put you to sleep, and a good Sativa might be 20% THC and less than 1% CBD is usually stimulating.

Is CBD is not sedative in and of itself? Perhaps there is a synergistic effect as in analgesic, where Caffeine is used to intensify the effectiveness of Aspirin?

Convesly, too much Caffeine as with an overdose of Vivarin will induce sleep.

What I'm wondering is, does CBD need the addition of the stimulant THC to become a sedative? Because if CBD is not psychoactive, then how come such a low ratio to THC lays you back so heavy, while a 50/50 ratio doesn't even craft a buzz? It's like THC with low CBD is stimulating, and THC with higher CBD is sedative, but way less THC with equal CBD has no noticeable psychoactive effect, even though it may still have medicinal value.

Whatever the fuck, we still don't need doctors trying to corner the market and lawyers granting them exclusive control of an benevolent non-toxic herb, which is perfectly safe for use in home remedies as it has traditionally been used in a great many cultures for thousands of years.

I mean, if physicians want to recommend Cannabis or even prescribe it, that's just fine and dandy, but don't go dictating to people what they can't fucking do with it.

Please wait...
