Pretty much spot on. I was just thinking the other day how little I actually remember from my AP calculus class, biology, etc. And even if I did, it would do me no good. All of the sciences should be condensed into a few classes that are at a much higher level (kids can do a deeper dive in college depending on their major), and there should be more emphasis on real world stuff, namely personal finance, investing, relevant economic and government / political issues, and even a few classes on simple stuff like automotive & home repair.
