Spray Tans Don't Solve Everything

Comments

1
Seriously, people in restaurants/bars who are unable/unwilling to use their "inside voices" are the bane of my existence.
2
yeah wouldn't want to mess up the fine ambiance of a wing shack with any sounds of fun.
3
To be fair, spray tans do solve most things. I'd say about 65% of things.

Once again the Mercury caters to those that THINK they are better than everyone else. Of course the way you dress, talk, and behave is the only right way to do things! Get off your high horse, or high donkey in this case. If you don't like other people, stay at home. We'll all be sad you haven't graced us with your awesome presence, but we'll survive.

Ya see, there's two kinds of guys in this world: the kind who consider loud talk in public places a deal-killer, and the kind who are so hard up that they'll overlook loud talk in public places if they think doing so will help them get into some girl's pants.

Easy to tell who's who among the commenters here...

PS. Love the artwork.

It seems that Euphonius is all about binary thinking given his comments above but lets look at one of his comments about the Sam Adams scandal in the article “Pro/Anti Sam Protests Outside City Hall” (Blogtown post by Matt Davis on 1/22/2009)

"So in this corner: a handful of anti-abortion people bussed in from Roseburg holding "God Hates Fags" signs.

And in this corner: a bigger bunch of self-satisfied Portland libs, trying desperately to pretend that this issue is solely about homophobia and puritanism and has nothing to do with abuse of power or ethics.

After a false start of about 48 hours, we've happily settled into our comfortable binary world, with right-wing ideologues on one side and "right-thinking" libs on the other, and we all should fall in line.

Well I'm not falling into line. I'm not a homophobe or a prude, and Sam Adams is a disgrace and should resign."

There are two kinds of guys in this world...please. Can anyone say contradiction?

I'm with you on Sam Adams but you're way off on "two kinds of guys."

Live and let live E.

If you don't like to be around people who cut loose and have fun, then don't go to bars. If you and your friend are needing to engage in such deep conversations, it would probably be a little more realistic to do that on your own time.

I cannot believe you are actually complaining that people got too loud in a BAR. That is the place to do it. People drink in bars. People get loud when they drink......now, say it with me "P-e-o-p-l-e g-e-t l-o-u-d w-h-e-n t-h-e-y d-r-i-n-k".

Now, armed with that very basic knowledge, next time you are in need of intimate conversation, go to somewhere that is quiet, like a library or bookstore. Got it, Einstein?

I agree with the whiner, those ladies do look ridiculous. Just be glad you are not in southern California.

If you can't stand the soundof fun, you can stay home.

As Fran Leibowitz once said, Being in public means being subjected to the annoying habits of others. Like people who think they're superior to young people who are being boisterous in a cheap restaurant.

Please wait...
