I, as a paralegal, and a parent, have dealt with D>H>S> on many occasions. Too often the workers are over zealous hate mongers who seem to lack any childern of their own but seem to know what the rest of us should be doing when it comes to child rearing. Anybody can simply google and find case after case of these preditory scum lieing and manipulating truthes in order to have case. My daughter didn't want to live at home anymore so she contacted D>H>S> they told her if she didn't agree to some story they would make up they could not help her. they could have said "be good, go to school, and obey your parents" instead they said "if you agree to LIE that we will make up, you can help us prosicute your dad"" SHE SAID NO !!!!!!

But, the number of times that has happened is minute compared to the number of cases of child abuse that DHS deals with. DHS caseworkers (and no, I’m not one; I am not that noble) are overworked, underpaid, public servants who day in and day out deal with monsters who abuse, torture, neglect and even murder their own children. It’s about every month that you read in the paper some story of abuse that seems so outrageous that you doubt its authenticity. Unfortunately, they are true. So, even if DHS did what you claim they did doesn’t mean that there aren’t many, many cases of DHS helping these innocent children of monsters. What would you suggest be done, eliminate DHS altogether due to your claim?

And what caused your daughter to seek help from DHS? She simply didn’t want to go to school or obey your rules? Most teenagers I’ve known don’t like doing these things much but how many of them seek help from DHS? If nothing else, sounds like you raised yourself a spoiled brat kid who can’t deal with not getting her own way. Sounds like she won’t be a well-adjusted adult out in the real world someday.
