Also, if it bothers you that much get a job with an hourly wage. I'm sure you will find nothing to complain about in any other position.

Maybe we don't want to dig into our pockets every 3 minutes.

Maybe we just want to hang out and have a beer.

Maybe you are not as attractive or as entertaining as you believe.

The real problem is with the independent contractor model your industry is based on.

I feel like asking cats if they want a peppermint or some chicken already here at the library...so coexisting within one of those with ladies loving the goldfished eyelids and craving the attention from some of these tutorial bastards isn't my goal.
