I stopped by Lippman's before Halloween, looking for something I could maybe safely wear to work (and also a specific wig they didn't have) and every single goddamned costume for women was of the "sexy" variety. It's always been that way in the "grownups" costume aisle. I don't even mean adult-in-the-marital-aids-sense retailers. A number of female friends have complained about this, and their homemade costumes, even if of the "push 'em up" variety, covered a ton more skin than anything commercial. Because it is COLD in October. So we aren't the ones making it ubiquitous, not that there's actually anything fucking wrong with showing some skin. But yeah, blame women for objectifying ourselves, you cheap hypocrite, that's just fine as long as it's good for a few laughs, isn't it? It's only "satire." Also hippie-bashing. People you can accuse of smelling bad while dodging it being some kind of ethnic slur. I'm sure nobody further right politically is stereotyping you in any way.
