Your advice to HDTH is spot on man, and I'm glad you wrote it exactly the way you did. I've had friends in the past in that exact same situation but in those cases I am the 'people who can't stand him', trying to tell them the right thing to do. Hopefully in this case she'll listen to someone a little more authoritative like you. It's a very hard thing to watch.
