Sounds like the christian purists are crawling out of the floorboards for this one, huh.

But yeah thing is... STRAIGHT people don't just get high or/and drunk and just decide to have GAY sex. This does NOT happen. So "Not a Lesbian I Think" was clearly LYING when she claimed that she's straight. I'll totally accept that both she and her finger-banging buddy are both Bi. Or Bi-ish. Because that makes sense, given the non-situation here.

Not everything can simply be blamed on the drugs.

Well, that's actually Not what it sounds like at all. A very vanilla-type encounter happened, Dan Savage okayed not telling the long-distance boyfriend about it as long is it was indeed harmless and one-time, and this foolish conservative troll calls it a "free pass for all people" because he apparently reads Dan Savage's mind.

FYI if you hadn't noticed, Savage endorses lying fairly frequently. He likes to blur the line on poly (and monogamy) and make it some kind of "spectrum" right up to including premeditated dishonesty in long term non-abusive relationships. Not only conservatives think that's shitty.

Did you read the advice? He said, "if you didn't contract anything." So he is not condoning infidelities that spread diseases. That being said, I don't agree with the lying part. If you have sex with someone (even if it's not something you'd normally do, but happened because of drug-induced lowered inhibitions and horniness) that you see frequently, or LIVE with, chances are you'll be tempted to do it again, even if it means recreating the circumstances with tequila and E. I know this from experience. As for judging this person's sexual orientation, well, half the men I've slept with (myself being a man) are heterosexually identified, and it only amounted to a one-or-three-times thing. Straight people are allowed to have gay experiences/experiments as much as gay people are allowed to have straight experiences/experiments. It can be argued that we're all bisexual to some degree, no matter how we primarily identify ourselves. Read about the Kinsey Scale.
