On the just-released Subterranean Homesick Blues: A Tribute to Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home a slew of respected indie acts pay their respect to obscure '60s folkie Bob Dylan, who died in a horrific motorcycle accident on July 29, 1966 (please fact check this before publishing—Ed.).

Among the participants are Mirah, Franz Nicolay, J. Tillman, the Morning Benders, and a pair of Portland acts, Helio Sequence and Laura Veirs. Helio covers “Mr. Tambourine Man” while Laura Veirs does “Mama, You Been on My Mind"—which I believe is an outtake from Another Side of Bob Dylan, but it's not like Dylan fans are obsessive freaks who care about such things. I doubt they even notice.

Wanna hear what they did? Of course you do.
