It has been, at most, about 40 minutes since we last heard from the prolifically consistent rock and roll hitmakers Thee Oh Sees. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration. But it's no secret that the band, who has churned out some of the decades finest, brightest rock and roll tunes and who continues to blow the socks off of the world with their canonical live sets, are no slackers to giving their fans something to get stoked about at least four times a year, and every single time you hear them on your record player and iPod after that.

On June 14, the band will release yet another presumably rock-primed masterpiece, Castlemania, on In The Red Records, just in time for summer. You can get a taste of what's to come on the snappy new single "I Need Seed" available for download over at Pitchfork (streamable below). It has already planted itself deep in the soil of my mind. Oh how Thee Oh Sees have grown.

Speaking of growing, The Intelligence's Lars Finberg has been factored into the band's equation, which should no doubt give Thee Oh Sees an even bigger edge on their competition for Best Live Band In The World Ever ™. Pitchfork also revealed that the band will spend all of May in Europe, and will return to Portland on September 9 for MusicFestNW at Star Theater—thus making them the first MusicFestNW performer to accidentally (?) confirm for this year's festival.

SO. PUMPED.
