Take some time out from your gray Tuesday whining routine and watch this video made for LAKE's "Efforts," off their recent (and very excellent) release, Giving & Receiving. Everything you see here has been constructed from carefully-cut paper and manually-animated by way of a live-action shadow puppet show—not to be confused with a hot, live-action shadow puppet show (why did I just link to that?)—courtesy of the talented Patrick McHale.

Honestly, I don't get how things like this happen. I am legally bound to wear an emergency response wristband (that doubles as a tourniquet) within 1 meter of any workspace where an X-Acto knife is present, and my shadow puppets will always look like this. You artistic folks are mind-bogglingly awesome.
