Each year Willamette University in Salem hosts a daylong fest of music, art, and earth (read: hippie) activities called Wulapalooza. They always manage to secure an excellent lineup of bands, and this year is no exception. This time around they've got YACHT, School of Seven Bells, the Helio Sequence, and Craft Spells, plus a number of student bands. The event takes place on Brown Field at Willamette University on Saturday, April 21 from 11 am to 10 pm, for the completely awesome price of free. Some more info about Wulapalooza:
Wulapalooza is an annual earth, art and music festival that continues to offer a free Earth day experience to the Willamette university students and broader community. Beyond musical acts, Wulapalooza includes a craft fair of student work, and lots of family friendly activities. Wualpalooza has been student run for its entire 14 year history and has continued to bring up and coming music to the Willamette valley and city of Salem.
We're particularly excited by the inclusion of the Helio Sequence, playing their first Oregon show in lord knows how long—in advance of their Sasquatch appearance in May.
