This Saturday, the Builders and the Butchers are putting a fine new album into the world—Western Medicine is the Portland busker-folk ensemble's fourth studio album and crystallizes the band's hard-hitting, grave-digging sound, via Ryan Sollee's apocalyptic songwriting and the group's dueling drummers. Western Medicine is currently out on vinyl, with a CD release on Badman to follow on July 2. Meanwhile, this Saturday, June 22, TB&TB play a record release show at Mississippi Studios; their live shows are fierce, fiery, and full of energy. (It's a great bill, too, with Sons of Huns and River Giant also playing.)

We're giving away a pair of tickets to the show! To enter, you'll want to jump over to End Hits. Good luck!

The Builders and the Butchers w/Sons of Huns, River Giant; Mississippi Studios, 3939 N Mississippi, 9 pm, $15 (tickets here)
