Found Lives: The Inner Lives of People with Schizophrenia

Artists Repertory Theatre (map) Southwest
Fri., Oct. 16, 7:30-9 p.m. 2009

$25

A play about divided consciousness with only one goal: to share the experience of living with Schizophrenia. Every word of this play is taken from autobiographical blog posts written by people who are afflicted with the disease, or taking care of someone who is. Found Lives is produced by the New Moon Productions Theatre Company, who teamed up with the OHSU Department of Psychiatry to bring first-hand testimonials to the stage. The performance benefits NAMI Multnomah, the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and features a post-play discussion with the playwright, cast, and a psychiatrist, so you can come at the topic from all angles.
