Annapurna opens on a man and a woman inside a disheveled one-room trailer, launching a story of love and forgiveness after the end of a magnetic and codependent relationship. The play unfolds in one act, with heavy repetition and Aaron Sorkin-style dialogue, and ends in an unsatisfying detente. At the performance I attended, the audience gave the play a standing ovation, but I found myself rooting for a murder-suicide at multiple points in the show. RACHEL SANDSTROM
