"Flirty septuagenarians" is not a phrase you hear every day, but Anthony Neilson wants to change that—for one day at least. His new slapstick Christmas comedy The Lying Kind takes British farce and irreverently improves upon it, like an American fish and chips that doesn't make your teeth rot. The top-notch Third Rail Repertory Theater acts out this story in which policemen try to spare an elderly couple some unfortunate news, but suffer swift justice for their well-meaning fib. (Pay-what-you-will preview November 19th, 7:30 pm.)
