Liza Nyugen photographs war though soil samples from 19 Vietnamese locations hit by Agent Orange, in her series Surface. An-My Le's 29 palms documents US Marines playing out exercises in a "virtual Middle East" in California. One half of this exhibit is an abstract view of what really happened, while other really documents something that never did. Go on, compare and contrast. (Panel discussion on "War and Vietnamese Photography," Saturday, February 27th at 3 pm.)
