Monopoly can mean all sorts of things. For solo storyteller Mike Daisey, it means Microsoft’s antitrust lawsuit, the board game, Wal-Mart’s lock on middle America, and—oddly—“electrocuted elephants.” In other words, Daisey’s latest topic and its tenuously connected parts seems like a perfect fit for the guy, who’s equal parts wry comedian, modern philosopher, self-effacing memoirist, and scathing social critic.
