I-B Area is a feature length video that operates with a kind of catty teenage poetry. It’s an exploration of identity in our technological age, paced at the speed of an ultra fast internet connection. Avatars go feral; clones rebel and space-time is twisted through a late 20th century nostalgia. Like a great deal of video work, the production value is low and the effects are something out of cable access, but the concept and dialogue have just enough snap and humor to keep an audience engaged for its hour and a half running time. But if you have an aversion to bright colors, best stay away.
