I get the 'trick or treat' link at the end, but this is totally racist and should not even be paired with a bad joke. The very first sentence is wrong in that minorities are on the rise and are a trend. This just points out how much people see minorities as invisible, i.e. not seeing them at all. Not amused and this is something that should not be a joke. 'Good job' Portland Mercury.
