When all the dum dums are standing outside Tin Shed for god knows why,* there is never a wait at Radio Room two blocks away, and they will bring you a pretty delicious food coma pile for a reasonable price.
* Seriously, why? It's above average, but it's not THAT good.
Miss Delta completely deserves to be on the list. I've long wondered why it isn't at least always full when Gravy is completely overrun. They do everything on their small menu well, and their ultra-rich food is perfectly cooked and plated, then served by two very attentive waitstaff (one beautiful, one handsome). They are also much more kid friendly than Gravy.
Have to chime in on what the first comment-er said about Tin Shed and Radio Room. Radio Room is better. I'm not one to disparage any restaurant for the heck of it, but Tin Shed, relative to all the other options in the area (Radio Room, Cup and Saucer, Helser's) just doesn't even compare. Radio Room has great breakfast food, a killer bloody, and good espresso and coffee.
Did the writers actually eat at any of these places? They don't have lines because their food is considerably less good than other brunch spots. What about Irving Street Kitchen, Otto, or Skin & Bones? You are supposed to be doing our homework for us...
City-State, Pambiche, and Miss Delta are all kickass spots, Microfoam. Can't speak for the other ones, though. Sounds like you've already done you're homework, so I'm not sure what you're bitching about.
