You've got the wrong credits for A Christmas Carol. The 1951 version was directed by Brian Desmond-Hurst and stars Alastair Sim, which the article pointed out. The credits you've posted are for the 1938 version with the aggressively made-up Reginald Owen. Those damn cheeks are distracting and he appears to be playing Scrooge-as-a-manic-dwarf.
