Re: “"I Just Want to Feel Everything"

Truly well written and appreciated. I listened to that recent interview you mention in the article and I was blown away by how revealing (and honest) she was. I can't wait to listen to the album and I appreciate hearing someone digs her too.

Re: “"I Just Want to Feel Everything"

At last, an intelligent and perceptive analysis of this masterpiece by someone who really knows what she's talking about. I have not heard of Anya Marina before, but this article guarantees I will will dig deep to find out more. Bravo!

This Kyle Thomas was never in Alabama Thunder Pussy or Exhorder, that is an older musician also named Kyle Thomas.

Re: “Up & Coming

Of course now I see that you mentioned as a two day event. Sigh. Tired, old eyes. :)

Re: “Up & Coming

Thanks for mentioning Centaurpalooza on Sunday. My band is playing that day and it's great to get some notice. One mistake, though, is that the festival runs all weekend - starting tonight at 9pm at Katie O'Brien's with a warm up evening, continuing all Saturday, from noon to 6pm or so, followed by yet another after party at Katie O's, again starting at 9pm. Then Sunday goes from noon to just after 6pm again. There's nearly 36 bands playing, including the incredible Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummer, from Oregon and Washington, and it is totally free, all ages, and BYOB. It's great fun and has been running for years now. If you are a fan of local music, you shouldn't miss a minute of this amazing event as all the bands are great in their own way. Re: “The Most Hated Musician in Portland

Art is just another guy struggling to do the only thing he knows how to do. He's a nice guy that has a real a-hole side because of fucked up baggage. That was his excuse for a time. Now it's just reality that he'll admit to. He's weaker than many and stronger than many. He's a db to those he's screwed over and an angel to those he's helped. Sound familiar? Pretty much like humanity.

Re: “Leave the Scene Behind

Nice to see The Wave Pictures getting some well-deserved attention. I've loved them for years now.

Re: “Accentuate the Positive

While I can tell the guy has a little talent for leads and progressions, the overall production is absolutely terrible. Not my kind of music but if it was produced better and equalized better then I might give it more of a listen. It almost sounds like weird background cartoon music. C minus.
