This is not a rant! Go to the library and get a field guide or look on Tripadvisor. Do your own homework. You sound like not only a transplant but a millennial one! Figure some shit out on your own. There are no shortcuts for you here! No hand holding!

I agree with Ida, also Hood River hotel, interesting fun place, elevator, and good for all ages. Have fun. The dog is welcome too and gets a great goodie bag with 2 nice toys. I think the suites are your best deal. The train trip to Hood River is less than 4 hours round trip. Hurry, winter rates are through end of April.

Now this may not have been an answer to a mad ranter, but too many options can make a person more confused. I think this was a asking for help rant.

^YELP, I do nicely. My owners are taking me up to where you are talking about I/A. I don"t know if they will go with Ida or Candy's ideas.
I need to get away too. Boxy apartment, pooping on the same places. I want a trip too!
