Marijuana is about the most boring substance a human being can ingest. If today's pot is umpteen times more potent than what I smoked in the 60s-early 70s, does that make it umpteen times more boring? When I did smoke, I wasn't sure what it was supposed to do. What really made me quit drugs was seeing too many of my age cohorts passed out at psychedelic rock concerts and missing all these rock legends. At around 21, my meager drug use stopped. Smoked tobacco twice by 14. Light drinker. Can you go indefinitely without recreational pot? Another aspect to drug use that turns me OFF is the ritualistic, ceremonial aspect to it. I don't have time to cook a heroin dose. I did vote for legal pot. If it has medical value, fine. But include me out. Drugs aren't evil but for me, just unnecessary. Otherwise, the 60s culture was great.
