Do you tip the person who checks out and bags your groceries? They make about a dollar more than a gas attendant and have to deal with way more bullshit. Maybe you should tip them both! A bump in the minimum wage would certainly help.
I do. I'm sitting on my ass now and the only way I can honk, my wife says is bad for the furniture. Gas attendants work hard, rain cold hot on their feet a lot. I don't drink anymore so I've got singles to burn.
PandaPDX, thanks for reminding me why I hate you and your lame out of state bs. You obviously don't hand your credit card to strangers at restaurants, where you generally can't watch the transaction take place like at a gas station. And no one is stopping you from checking the gas pump for a skimmer, so don't use that excuse either. According to your previous logic, if they were smarter they would get a degree like you, get a great job, and buy a house in Portland. So I doubt they will be able to remember every detail of your card for future use by glancing at it once. Maybe you should try living in Vancouver, where you can pump to your hearts content?
