I did not realize my white privilege until I started reading The Mercury. I have been working on maximizing my privilege over the last 4 years and I have to say it's working for me. I just have to be 7% better than the aa hire.

If I'm reading your rant correctly, the war on women is being waged in a very half-assed manner.

Please let us know if you see her in the next issue of Busted.

Fake. But nice try.

Your one made up story certainly trumps the massive disparity women face on average across the board. Congrats, I/A, you have exposed the illusion of the so-called patriarchy for all time!

This wasn't fake. It occurred last Tuesday at 11PM. A police report was made but he didn't press charges. It was my understanding in any domestic disturbance call the officer must remove one person. She wasn't arrested or removed. She told the cop to his face to fuck off and so far hasn't been evicted and keeps her state job. You're welcome to come over and check though.

This wasn't fake. It occurred last Tuesday at 11PM. She went through his phone, accused him of cheating and strangled him. Just that day he'd told me she threatened to take his pension and I put him on the phone with a lawyer. It was my understanding that in a domestic disturbance call the officer must remove one person from the scene. He did not. Nor did he arrest her. She screamed to his face to fuck off. No one, not the manager and her husband could believe it. You're welcome to come over though and see for yourself.

Ah yes, your anecdotal evidence of one drunk woman clearly shows that we've reached utter gender equality. Also, poor form to comment on your own IA.

Soooo he didn't press charges? Sounds like he's just as lost of a cause as women who's victim mentality makes them a perpetual punching bag. And I'm pretty sure the cops get much worse verbal abuse on a daily basis. Just because one guy gets abused on a regular basis doesn't negate all of the abuse other people receive. Maybe he should man up and press charges. Please keep him in touch with that lawyer.

I/A, I think I believe this story. If she works in the State Attorney's office, she must have got a pass. If he is a Veteran and did not press charges, well there is that issue. If she talked to a police officer like you said she did, he should have taken her to jail.

I think there is much more to the story, and it sounds truth is stranger than fiction. I hope you are not planning to take him into your apartment for more than a night, call Social Services, you are not prepared to be a marriage counselor.

Please wait...
