Nobody hates transplants from Idaho. They are part of the Northwest and don't move here with suitcases/ bank accounts full of cash ready to buy up hideous condos. There are 100 of them versus the hordes coming from California. 41,000 people moved here last year and the majority are from California.

I'm an '09. What are you?

Oh, clam up, IA. You don't understand and you never will.

Well put IA. Notice it's only renters or wannabes bitching about transplants. If you own a home in Portland, bought in the downturn, you've already made over 100k on your investment in less than a few years and will continue making money. Your 10 year old kid can pay for college when you refinance. Don't shit on the people paying for your retirement either.

Hey Fucktards! BTW, not everyone who moves from California is rich. Their parents might have a home worth a million dollars (bought for 50k in the 80s... sound familiar yet?). Some people do have good jobs they worked hard for, save, get married (two incomes), save some more, get a job before they move, know how to cook a meal, make lunches not buy $8 sandwiches, etc. The same shit will be said about people from Oregon once Montana blows up in 20 years.

Oh PandaPDX, you're such an old economy Steve. But keep it up, we need reminding now and again not to assume what works for us will work for future generations.

Please wait...
