Summer's hit me like a ton of bricks. I feel like I barely even did any transitional dressing this year. Looking over my wardrobe of summer play clothes, there's not a lot that's very impressive. In fact the floor-to-ceiling wall of laundry behind my closet door is a pretty good indication that this pack rat needs to do some editing, some reassessment, and maybe some investment. Many of my standard summer casual go-tos like tanks and jersey shorts are full of holes, which only sometimes improves on them. But looking through to see what Claire La Faye has been up to lately, I'm reminded of the insane embellishments she adds to simple tanks, making them not so simple at all, yet equally easy to wear, with the Ballerina and Pearl Fancy series:
