Call me an optimist, but I think Portland's late-blooming summers actually work to our advantage, at least in the retail department. While it's just now getting warm enough for camping trips out to the rivers and lakes, pool parties, and outdoor grillin' every night of the week, stores are starting to bail out their summer merch to make room for fall. That means if you haven't gotten around to getting a new swimsuit, summer dress, or sandals, it's super easy to avoid paying full price. Case in point is this weekend's Summer Sale in the Pearl District, where today through Sunday you can score merch from shops like Mabel and Zora, Lizard Lounge, Nau, Posh Baby, Folly, Ecovibe Apparel, Sherman Clay/Moe’s Pianos, Physical Element, Moulé, Popina Swimwear, Solestruck, House of Lolo and Bonnet. Too many names to remember? Just look for the yellow balloon tied outside participating shops as you cruise the neighborhood to find bargains at up to 75% off. Booya.
And while you're at it: This just in: Halo just kicked off their own summer sale too, with most pairs at 30% off!
