It seems like everyone I know is moving into a new place this month, myself included. Thankfully, with the stresses of packing and unpacking, comes the pleasure of shopping for new things for a new home. Let's see what Portland's Etsy artists have for kitchen decor. (Even if you aren't moving, you are still allowed to treat yourself to spruce up your kitchen; I give permission.)

My aunt has a magnetic knife rack that I have envied for years now. I think it is time to get my own, and what better than this rustic one made of Oregon Myrtle by Paul Bishop of Driftedge.

This bowl by Christine Claringbold of Eye Pop Art is made from recycled vinyl records, and hand painted with acrylic paint in colorful, mandala designs.

There's wisteria growing outside my new kitchen window, so I must have these handprinted dishtowels by Appetite Home, whose new Spring 2012 line SEA + SAND is fresh and airy and available now.

Frost Indri's ceramics are inspired by the colors of the Northwest and Mhendi (henna tattoo) patterns. These rice bowls are small and sweet, and I would probably also use them as teacups.
