It's a weird time of year for a fashion show—summer clothes are starting to go on sale, fall clothes are so seasonally inappropriate as to border on cruelty to models (it can be hard to watch)—but the Ecotrust Sundown series, which as Ned pointed out yesterday boasts a pretty stellar lineup for its Thursdays in July, is doing it anyway. The inaugural concert, featuring Typhoon on July 5, is also set to include a fashion show of local and sustainable brands that "reflect Ecotrust’s mission to inspire progressive thinking that creates economic opportunity, social equity and environmental well-being... The five brands support the July 5th event’s theme of 'Water' by reducing the impact of their supply chains on natural water sources through use of organic cotton and use of low-impact dyes." So look for Patagonia, Silvania, LiFT Label, Sticks & Stones, and {re}volution to add to add some summer style to the evening—luckily the models will be comfortable.
